During pregnancy, women enjoy longer, fuller and thicker hair. We even wish that our hair remains that way forever. But as soon as we deliver our baby and get our proper rest, hair starts falling and just like every good thing comes to an end, this too had its period.

Have you ever thought about why women have such good hair during Pregnancy?

Well, the normal cycle of hair growth is in three phases:

Growth phase- which lasts for 2-6 years

Transitional phase- which lasts for 2-3 weeks

Shedding phase- for 3 months.

Now, during pregnancy, we all know that the level of estrogen and progesterone rises by 8-9 folds. And this disrupts the hair growth cycle, making the growth phase stay longer. Therefore, during pregnancy, women have thicker hair.
