Another special treat from my husband this fall: a weekend away by myself. We looked for cheaper flights and found that it was fairly reasonable to fly to Denver. My man's aunt owns a condo up in the mountains. We found that it was available, so we booked the ticket and off I went!

I've been so bad about keeping up with this blog lately. We've been busy. Life is happening. Truthfully, I'm happy about that. When we moved here the kids and I would go to Walmart or Target just so we had somewhere to go. Now we're actually making plans, meeting people, and getting out. Here's some of what's going on:

* The weather this weekend? PERFECT! Saturday was a high of 90 and breezy! People were out in jeans. I wore a shirt with sleeves (short) and a tank top underneath...that's how I dress for the "cooler" weather. I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday! I'm just gonna list all the wonderful things that happened.
My parents are here. My man is away on business (that doesn't make today wonderful, just to clarify). I'm happy to have company. I can't imagine being home without friends, family, etc for a week.

This weekend I attended Mamas Write, a Christian mom blogging conference. When I moved down here I searched on twitter for local blogs and Mamas Write came up. The weather in Texas seems to be the polar opposite of Vermont. Sunny, hot, humid. We've definitely needed to adjust. Some days I feel like we're doing well with the adjustments, and other days when I'm sweating half my body weight off I wonder if we'll ever adjust.
