Baby Girl originally wanted a birthday cake with Curious George and Boots on it, her two favorite monkeys on the same cake. When I went to the bakery’s website to find sizes, prices, etc, she found a picture of a “princess” cake, and the other cake was forgotten. She wanted a princess party.

We invited three families, which included six girls and three boys, all under the age of 7. My man and I wanted to have a relaxed evening with friends. We ordered pizza, made a dip, and picked up some soda and juice boxes. I found princess plates, cups, and napkins and added plain plates for the adults and boys (much cheaper this way).

The girls all came dressed as princesses, complete with heels and sparkles. The kids played, the parents chatted. What a fun party! Baby Girl loved her presents and her cake. At the end of the night, each kid went home with a goody bag and a sugar high. The party was easy to plan and everyone had a good time…a win-win for me!
