You all know that I’ve been homesick, especially during the fall season. I’ve missed the smells, the sights, the temperatures, the food! My man has done all he can to give me fall, even though the highs are still in the 80s. He really outdid himself last week, though! The doorbell rang Wednesday afternoon, signaling a delivered package. I assumed it was a Christmas gift I had order (which still hasn’t come…long, frustrating story). When I opened the door I saw a Vermont return address.

When I opened it I found two dozen beautiful, delicious, and wonderfully-smelling apple cider donuts from Cold Hollow Cider Mill. If you’re ever anywhere near Stowe, you must go! And they ship nationally! In fact, after I posted a picture on Facebook I had two friends order from them. (Do I get commission for that?)

We have been enjoying cider donuts, eating them warm or cold. Who cares! They’re delicious no matter how you eat them!

Seriously, my man made my day/week/month/year with this surprise!
