Please don’t say it…
Posted by Blessed Mom in Happenings

Well, it has all worked out. I know, I know, don’t you dare tell me “I told you it would” because I don’t want to hear it. I knew it would all work out, too, but my pregnant self had a hard time seeing how all the details would fall into place. Let me explain….

We weren’t finding anything to live in when our lease is up here at the beginning of June! I had stopped looking because it was discouraging me, but then I started again. My man is just swamped with work and stuff, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have two of us looking. Our usual “haunts” for rentals were pretty dry, and my joke about having the baby in CT at my parents’ house was quickly becoming a reality (in my pregnant mind). While I was in CT and starting to panic about our lack of housing, I looked at a site that I hadn’t checked in a while. Lo and behold there was something new on there! My man called, went and looked at it, and loved it. He turned in the application, and we were accepted! Tomorrow afternoon we are going to sign the lease! Now, this is all amazing, but there is more!
This new place is huge! (Let me just take a moment to say that I haven’t seen it and may not see it until move-in day, but I am going to have to trust my man on this one.) We were thinking we’d have to store stuff and squeeze into our next place, and it sounds like it could be the opposite! It’s in a beautiful neighborhood. (This part I know; it’s in the neighborhood where I ran my first 5K. I ran it thinking, “What a neat place to live.”) The house is also located less than 5 minutes from my man’s job. This has several benefits: no more days where he’s gone from 8 am – 10 pm, especially in the summer, no more hour commute, flexibility to be home for an hour or two if I need him after little guy is born, and we can walk to see him this summer (and go to his pool!).
So, yes, I admit, I am amazed. I knew God would provide, but this is truly above what I expected! I realize I am saying all of this without ever having seen the house, but I can’t imagine my man could make up so much good stuff! :)

Thanks for your prayers. We are excited about this next step. I only wish I could get in there now and start getting a room ready for little man. Maybe I’ll still have this organizing bug two weeks before he’s due? We’ll see.

I’m linking up to A Steady Rain (several days later, but this is what God is doing in my life right now).
